Produced by the Cruz family better known as "Artesanias Clarita" at Tequisquiapan in the state of Queretaro. The material most of the artisans of the village work with is wicker (mimbre in spanish) , which was introduced by the spanish during the conquest and now represents the main income for most of the artisans.
We work with Martín Cruz and Rosario Mejía, mother and father of a well known family of artisans which have taught their son Alberto and their daughter-in-law July how to work with different types of wicker.
Alberto and July are also showing their children how to maintain the knowledge and tradition.
